Digiscrapping vs Paper

I haven't been posting much lately. I have carpel tunnel in my left hand, and I have a very hard time paper scrapping, as I can't really hold anything in that hand. I will know sometime next week if I have to have surgery to correct it. SO in the meantime, I'm so glad I found digiscrapping. I can use the computer, and still create wonderful pages, to feed my creative side! If you are interested in Digiscrapping, I suggest you head to Scrapbook MAX! and give their software a try. I found a ton of $1 clearence items at Hobby Lobby. I turned this rather ugly canvas (Top) into a wall hanging of my fur babies!(to the left) I used Sam and Hailey Designs Itty Bitty Kitty file for my kittys. Check out all of Jan's fantastic designs at Paperthreads.

Fun Wall Clock

This is a fun wall clock I made for my hobbie room. I didn't have a clock in there, and am always losing track of time!
I used Shelly's Art cutting file Think Spring . The clock was $4 from Wal-mart. I took it apart, and made a new "face". Check out all of Shelly's Art files at Paperthreads !

My Mom is having her kitchen repainted to a cottage look. I made this plaque from Sam and Hailey Designs Very Vinyl - Families Are Forever Alphabet Set at paperthreads.com.

I bought the plaque at M's, and painted it to match her kitchen. I couldn't find a yellow vinyl I liked, so I used cardstock. "Families are Forever" is black vinyl. I sprayed it with clear acrylic sealer after I finished.

These CD folders were made for my Daughter and her best friend's Mom2Mom mission. They are giving contempory Christian music CDs for Mother's Day.

They were made using Sam and Hailey Design's Decorative CD Sleeve cutting file.

I have finally made it home from Georgia! I had to put away my Christmas decorations (yes Christmas! LOL) and get caught up. I had a tooth ache for 2 days, went to the dentist and had to have a root canal yesterday, so I am taking a few more days off, then I am going to try and get back in the swing again. Everyone have a great week-end!

How to access free files

I have had a few questions about accessing the free files I have uploaded. Look at the top left side of this page. There is a picture titled My WPC files. Click the picture, to go to the files page. In the description of each file, there is an underlined word (such as "here") click on that link, and it will take you to the 4-Shared link, then click the download button! Hope this helps. I know I haven't posted in a while, but I am still in Georgia helping out with my Grandmother, who had a stroke on December 10th. I expect to be home in the next month or so. I can't wait to start designing again!

I used Sam and Hailey Designs Itty Bitty Christmas Greens file. Find the file for sale here. I am making these as a Christmas Gift for my Physical Therapy Clinic Tech's. I did something simular last year with snowflakes (look for Jan's Itty Bitty Snowflakes file, too!)I think the red is so festive! You could also add a loop to the bow, to hang on a mini Christmas tree.

If you scroll down a bit you'll see the tree off my balcony with the beautiful fall leaves. This is the same tree covered in a heavy frost...I just thought it was beautiful and wanted to share!

Fall is in the air!

This is a pic of the tree right off my balcony. It was taken a few days ago against the blue sky. That tree is now covered in ALL yellow leaves. Today is cool (around 50 degrees) cloudy and a little breezy. We have had a fire all day, just to keep the chill off. I am burning a fall spice scented candle. You can just TELL its fall...my favorite time of the year!

I spent most of rainy saturday making Christmas cards...this is what I came up with. VERY different than what I am used to. But I really like how they turned out!

I have been so board lately. This is my favorite time of the year. I love the cool breezes, the changing leaves, pumpkins, and indian corn, and all that fall brings. The problem? Michael (DH) has been gone, on business, since September 8th. The count down is finally on..he comes home October 25th!! YAY...right?? Sort of. He leaves again on the 2nd of November. I would love to be able to go to the mountains for a day or week end, and take in some of fall's beauty. We want to take the train to the top of Pike's Peak in all 4 seasons. Looks like we'll miss Autumn...sad sad!

But I have been able to get lots of cutting files done (click the picture at the top left). I guess I need to get ready for Christmas. I am PRAYING we'll be able to get to Georgia for Christmas. We plan on driving, even with the price of gas, its cheaper than flying! Well, guess I'll go and see what I can get into!

Digital Scrapping

I have discovered I really think I like digital scrapping! I would never give up my Pazzles and paper, but for some things I really like it. For instance, I have been meaning to do a scrapbook of the wild flowers here in Colorado. I think I'll go digital...One great thing is you don't have to be home, at the cutter to make a page. You can "scrap" ANYWHERE with a laptop! As soon as I get some pages done, I'll post them here!

Halloween-nie

Halloween will be here before I know it! I have been working on a few projects- cards and such! I miss my kids dressing up and running out for candy. One of my favorite memories is leaving the house on Halloween afternoon and coming home to find my little dog "Gidget" had gotten into the candy bowl, and ate about 10 mini packs of M & Ms...she left everything else alone! I know chocolate is bad for dogs, but she didn't seem to care!

Here is a card I made from a cutting file I drew. It really turned out well. Spooky and a little girly at the same time.

This is a door sign I made to welcome the kiddos on Halloween. In our apartment complex, we have to put a sign on our door so the kids know where to knock. It was made from a file I got over at Paper Threads .

Here are a few more cards I have made for Halloween. The first one was for a card sketch challenge at Paper Threads. The second is take on the first! The words on both were drawn with a gel pen in with the Pazzles.

Well, 8 weeks after my shoulder surgery, I am beginning to see the light at the end of the tunnel! I have been working on lots of creations these last few week. I'll add a few pics a day.

Well, I was going to spend the day working on Taylor's scrapbook. But we just remembered Michael's aunt is in town. We are going out for dinner, fine. But we are going to invite them for coffee after. SOOOOO I guess housework is in order! I have the sign that says "I'm Creative Not Neat" on my hobby room wall. Guess I could just show them that first! Great week end all!

Brag Books

I am really into designing these little brag books. I really love the way they are turning out! I seem to be trying to cram everything I want to do into the next 2 weeks, as I am having my granddaughter here for 2 weeks (YEAH!) and then shoulder surgery on August 11th. I am worried about how long the recovery will be. The DR says up to 6 months! YIKES! These items are also for sale at my Etsy shop.
